Characteristics: 


Pietra Serena is an bluish -grey sandstone , with a fine -grained and uniform appearance  . Its is highly versatile material , widely appreciated for its strength , durability and ease of shaping . 

This stone is remarkable resistance to wear and the passage of time . 


The quarries from which this sandstone is extracted are located at an altitude of approximately 900 meters . This stone is naturallly exposed in 34 distinct layers , classified according to color and technical characteristics. 



As the most ideally used material in Florentino Renaissance architecture , Pietra Serena has become a symbolic stone of city of Florence


 Applications:


Pietra Serena can be used for both interior and exterior environments. Its stability and consistency are rare qualities that make it stand out from other sandstones in the same category.
