Sandstone is a sedimentary stone composed of sand-size grains of mineral, rock, or organic material. It also contains a cementing material that binds the sand grains together and may contain a matrix of clay-size particles that fill the spaces between the sand grains. We can find hundreds of colors, from yellow to grey, orange, green and antracite. These colors are unique and they allow unlimited ideas of design, from solid pieces to thin tiles for indoor or outdoor use. Sandstone is one of the most common types of sedimentary rock and is found in sedimentary basins throughout the world. It is often extracted for use as a general construction material such as wall cladding, window and door coating, floor tiles, copings or as raw material. In the subsoil sandstone often serves as an aquifer for groundwater or as a reservoir for oil and natural gas.
