Slate is a sandy-clay metamorphic rock formed by the transformation of the clay under pressure and temperature, hardened into thin lamellas. With low metamorphic grade, the slate is formed under the lowest pressures and temperatures among the metamorphic rocks. It can be used on floors, facades, laboratory tops, interior and exterior decorations and billiard tables.
