Private House in Gerês, Portugal
This imposing residence in Gerês, northern Portugal, features an outdoor pool area fully clad in Pannonia Grey. This Austrian stone was given a flamed finish to create a rougher texture and provide slip-resistant properties, which are essential for wet areas. It was then applied to the pool coping, the surrounding outdoor paving and the access steps.
Pannonia Grey is a calcareous mica slate quarried in Austria, characterised by a grey base colour that can range from light to dark grey tones. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, it stands out for its hardness.
